• Patricia Harzman

    Founder, Owner, RVT

Patricia Harzman has had a passion for animals since childhood, and that passion has shaped every step of her career. She began working in the animal care field as a teenager and has devoted her life to learning about all species so she can provide the very best care.

After completing her prerequisites at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Patricia attended OSU-OKC’s Veterinary Technician Program, where she honed her skills in animal health and wellness. In 2019, she passed both the state and national boards to become a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Her background includes extensive experience in animal health, hospice care, and hands-on care for pets of all kinds.

At home, Patricia’s love for animals continues with her own wide variety of pets, including exotic species, farm animals, and domestic pets, and in October 2024, Patricia and her family welcomed their newest (and tiniest) addition — a beautiful baby daughter. Becoming a mother has only strengthened her dedication to providing compassionate, knowledgeable care, because she understands just how much pets mean to the families who love them. Outside of work Patricia enjoys spending time with her animals and her family.

Fun fact: Kannon’s Kabins is named after her oldest fur baby, Kannon (Mini-Aussie/Border Collie Mix)

“My favorite thing about Kannon’s Kabins is the fact that we’re a small business. We can make accommodations that other facilities may not be able to make to ensure the best comfort and care for your fur baby! And trust me, there’s no favors or accommodations that would be “too much” to ask for... you’re talking to a girl who named a business after her dog.”

  • Luisa Parra

    Co-owner, DVM

Dr. Parra has always been inspired by the way animals can speak to the soul without saying a word. She believes the human–animal bond is unbreakable, and it’s this connection that guided her toward a lifelong career in veterinary medicine.

As a proud Lawton native, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Oklahoma State University before completing her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine there in 2007 — Go Pokes! She was drawn to the challenge of helping patients who cannot speak for themselves, the ever-changing science of veterinary care, and the diverse opportunities the field provides.

At home, she enjoys life with her French Bulldog, Honey, and her Russian Blue mix cat, Penelope. Outside of work, Dr. Parra is passionate about traveling and she hopes to see all 50 states; she also has Italy at the top of her international traveling list. She also loves golfing (especially the outfits) and considers herself a true foodie, always eager to try new restaurants in Oklahoma City and beyond. A fun fact? She’s a huge zombie movie fan and has seen nearly every one made although she’s still searching for the perfect zombie tattoo.

At Kannon’s Kabins, Dr. Parra’s favorite part is helping provide a safe and loving environment where pets are cared for like family. She lives each day guided by an affirmation she holds close: “I am doing the best I can, growing in wisdom and love.”
