BOARDING PREPARATION
We are so excited to have your pet(s) stay with us! Here is a Boarding Checklist to help you prepare for your pet’s stay:
Food - You may bring your pet’s food from home. We do NOT require your pet’s food to be individually packaged. However, if you are more comfortable doing so, please feel free to. At drop off, we will discuss feeding instructions for your pet. We also offer In-House Food (Science Diet - Sensitive Stomach & Skin) for those who wish for us to feed their pets with that for only $3/day.
Medication - We offer FREE Medication Administration here at Kannon’s Kabins. If your pet is on any medication, please bring enough for your pet’s whole stay.
Beds/Blankets/Tshirts/Toys/Etc. - If you are comfortable with it being in your pet’s kennel/suite, we are comfortable with it. We want your pet to be comfortable and feel at home while they are staying with us so additional items that smell or remind your pet of home are recommended. However, if your pet is a chewer, we advise against bringing any additional items to be placed in the kennel/suite with your pet due to safety reasons. Please label items. No Nylabones, rawhide, or rope toys.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
HERE AT KANNON’S KABINS, OUR BOARDERS GET TO ATTEND DAYCARE FOR FREE. HOWEVER, WE ARE CLOSED FOR DAYCARE ON THE WEEKENDS (SAT & SUN). FORTUNATELY, WE OFFER 10-MIN PLAYTIMES FOR $5 EACH THAT YOU CAN ADD TO YOUR PET’S STAY IF YOU ARE WANTING THEM TO GET SOME GROUP PLAY TIME DURING THE WEEKEND. THERE ARE NO LIMITATIONS ON THE AMOUNT YOU MAY ADD.
MON - FRI SCHEDULE FOR BOARDERS:
MONDAY - FRIDAY:
7 am - 9 am - Our staff attends to all Boarding Dogs and Arrivals/Departures
9 am - Daycare/Group Play Begins
11:30 am - Potty Breaks are given to all dogs
12:00 - 2:00 pm - All dogs are placed in their suites/kennels for Nap Time (Enrichments are given)
5:00 pm - Boarders are fed in their suites/kennels.
To avoid Gastric Dilatation & Volvulus, a life threatening disorder that can occur when dogs are fed and released to play too quickly, boarding dogs are NOT reintroduced to daycare after they are fed.)
6:30 pm - Last Potty Breaks are given and they are put to bed.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE FOR BOARDERS:
SATURDAY - SUNDAY:
7:00 am - 9:00 am - Staff attends to Boarders (2 potty breaks, fed, playtimes, & enrichments are given)
8:00 am - 9:00 am - Staff attends to all Drop Offs & Pick Ups
12:00/1:00 pm - Staff attends to Boarders (1 potty break, fed, playtimes, & enrichments are given) ONLY STAFF IS ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY DURING THIS TIME FOR SECURITY AND SAFETY REASONS. NO CLIENTS.
5:00 - 6:00 pm - Staff attends to all Drop Offs & Pick Ups
5:00 - 7:00 pm - Staff attends to Boarders (2 potty breaks, fed, playtimes & enrichments are given)
